Drakes-Advance Kingscote Christmas Pageant

     Each year Advance Kingscote organises the Drakes-Advance Kingscote Christmas Pageant, which is sponsored by Drake Supermarkets.  It is held on the last Friday before Christmas and begins at 5:30 pm with Father Christmas riding in the last float.

     The island community enters into the spirit of the pageant by creating floats, wearing costumes and entering specially decorated vehicles.  

     Local businesses provide prizes for the best dressed boy and girl, best decorated bike, best float and many others.
      After the pageant Father Christmas listens to Christmas wishes and hands bags of lollies to eagerly awaiting children.

     Face painting, a sausage sizzle and the announcement of the best Christmas lights of the Kingscote and Brownlow houses are all part of a carnival atmosphere enjoyed by the community.
