Kingscote Skate Park
STAGE II
Stage II of the Kingscote Skate Park commenced on Monday, 5 February 2018 after repairs were completed to the original skate run by Wayne Riley, who worked under the advice of the appointed architects.
Advance Kingscote Progress Association engaged Carving Concrete to undertake the installation of a new skating plaza section, which includes skating rails. Construction was completed within 4 weeks.
Now completed the final stages of landscaping, a shelter shed, a nature playground, fencing, etc., have begun by Advance Kingscote with the assistance of Kangaroo Island Council volunteers.
Advance Kingscote extends its thanks to Kevin Warner, Mark Hardy and Tony Willson for providing materials and equipment in support of the project, to Andrew and Sandy Schultz for supplying the barrier fence and thanks also to Sandy Zealand, who has provided accommodation.
Advance Kingscote and Kangaroo Island Council depot volunteers worked on landscaping the Kingscote Skate Park on Saturday, 28 April 2018. The council workers generously donated their time and KI Council donated topsoil, rocks, tree limbs and plant and equipment.
