Wright Park

     In 1977 Herb and Lucy Wright donated a parcel of land on the corner of Telegraph and Cygnet Roads to the community of Kingscote.  It became Wright Park.  In late 2010 and early 2011, Advance Kingscote - in partnership with the Kangaroo Island Council - commenced an upgrade of Wright Park. Advance Kingscote created an informative sign which council erected near the footpath.  The large area of turfed open space with garden beds is an ideal place for young children to play, for the family to sit and enjoy a feed of fish and chips, or maybe a picnic lunch.
